Reactions continue to trail the dismissal of NPFL goal banger Emem Uduak from the Super Eagles team B squad by NFF president Amaju Pinnick. We brought you the story earlier.
Ambassador Fanny Amun |
"If he hasn't been sanctioned by CAF or FIFA then why send him out of camp? I strongly believe that decision was taken in a haste and it isn't good for the player's career " He said.
Amun also reiterated that he (Uduak) is not the first player to be involved in a transfer debacle, mentioning the case involving John Obi Mikel as a worthy example.
"This is not the first time a player will be involved in a transfer saga such as this, it happened with mikel and then there was a lot of noise but I quietly left the country and travelled to the two countries involved and the issue was resolved" he said.
If you can cast your mind back to 2012 when Sunday Mba who was then a player of Warri Wolves was claimed to have been signed by Rangers FC, Mba was then a member of the super-eagles squad and he was never kicked out of the squad for the saga he was involved in. And guess who was Warri Wolves chairman was? Yes you're right!! It was Amaju Pinnick, same man that has now kicked Uduak Out a camp.
Some reactions of Nigerians interviewed regarding the issue below:
"I don't know why the NFF President will involve himself in an issue like this, maybe he doesn't have enough job to do in the glass house" - Jide
"I feel really bad for Emem Uduak, he should be in camp with his mates, that decision is very wrong" -Ken
"The NFF president have once again showed that The football federation does not respect the coach in charge (Amokachi ), that decision should be of the coach and no one else" -Harris.
