Maikaba who was former head coach of Kano pillars comes in as replacement for out going T.A Tunde Abdulrahman who helped Wikki navigate through the Nigeria national league last year.
"We invited some coaches for an interview and out of those invited the management decided to engaged coach Abdul Maikaba based on his merit that fulfilled our conditions.
"We thank the coaches that showed interest for the job as they're experienced and qualified, too.
"The engagement of Maikaba as the technical adviser is the will of God and we'll prayed for his success," said Abdullahi Chindo, Wikki Tourists chairman.
Chindo also assured fans that talks where in place to hire a chief coach for the team "We are talking to some experienced coaches within the country, and very soon we will reach a decision on who becomes our head coach" he said.
