Grapevine Grapevine, Emenike linked to America's MLS

From the Grapevine...
We gather that super eagles power house and Fenerbahce of turkey striker is touted to be hot on the radar of Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact.

We all thought he was headed for Tottenham Hotspur didn't we? Well Emenike was of course linked with a move to Tottenham in the winter transfer window as replacement for "witch hunted" Emmanuel Adebayor.  A deal that never saw daylight.

When Emenike's agent spoke about the Spurs move he said “Tottenham have really only one striker right now so it is not a surprise that they are interested, “I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet. However, if Fenerbahce give permission we can enter negotiations.

“There are also reports AC Milan and Fiorentina are interested in Emenike but we have not met with them either. I do not think Fenerbahce have received an official offer.”

Things haven't been all rosy for our dear Emenike since that rumour subsided, he accused his home supporters  (Fenerbahce) of racial slur and subsequently forced his own substitution in a turkish super lig fixture against Besiktas.
And was later dropped from the line up following the visit to Rizespor.

We gather that MLS outfit is now looking to capitalize on  Emenike's situation and make a summer move for the Nigerian.

The American side are rumored to be ready to pay £6m for Emenike, but the Nigerian wants an Anual salary of £2m, a few which they can pay since that's within the range of what outgoing striker Marco Di Valor takes home.

Emenike is capped 27 times for Nigeria and has a paltry 4goals from 28 games this term.
