The Nigerian injured himself in the first half of Stoke's 1-1 draw at West Ham on Saturday.
Manager Mark Hughes was hoping the issue would be a minor one, but the former Winger man has now returned to Chelsea for treatment instead. His season is over.
While Stoke City basically have nothing left to fight for beyond end-of-season bonuses based on final mid-table league position, and so the injury is probably not all that concerning, it does potentially throw a wrench into Moses's future at the club.
The winger wasn't yet completely sold on making his loan move permanent (at least publicly), even though all the decision makers at Stoke have spoken about their desire to keep the 24-year-old.
There were rumors of a £5m bid already,
but that was before Moses picked up his third fairly significant injury of the season. Not exactly a strong position from which to argue that valuation higher.
That being said, the hamstring issues have not dented Mark Hughes's desire to sign the player. Or at least he so claims.
"Because he is an explosive player, the hamstring is always a danger and so he will always be a bit susceptible to those kind of injuries. But that won't affect my thinking on other
decisions we make with Victor."
