Ideye scores his first premier league goal in Westbrom's defeat

Nigeria striker Brown Ideye finally registered his first premier league goal of the season for Westbrom in their 3-1 slump at home to Machester city.

The former Dynamo Kiev man replaced Silvestre Varela in the 67th minute of play with the baggies already 3 goals down. Fernando, Yaya Toure and David Silva had already done the damage for the Citizens.

He scored a consolation goal in the 87th minute when Manchester city goalkeeper, Joe Hart missed a corner and the ball rebounded in off Ideye's head.

It was highly fortuitous, but the Nigerian had atleast opened his premier league account.

The victory was City's ninth in succession in all competitions, while the defeat was Westbrom's
Second in a row.

The goal comes as a burst for Ideye who found it difficult adjusting to English football since his record breaking switch from Ukraine.
