Emenike critical of himself for goal drought- Agent

The agent of Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike, Erdem Konyar has revealed that the player is frustrated with himself for not finding the back of the net regularly.

He explained that contrary to media speculation, the 27 year old has no problem with the coach Ismail Kartal, rather vents his anger on himself.

Emenike was reported to have been unhappy with Kartal playing him out of position on the wing but Konyar has dismissed such talks stating that the Eagles star has been mis-quoted in the media.

“What he said to the Nigerian media is being mistranslated in Turkey, it is being lost in translation.

“Emenike was explaining why he had struggled to score this season, he was criticising himself, nothing he said was directed at the manager.

“Emenike is being misrepresented in the press,” Konyar said.

“He was annoyed with himself for not scoring.

“No player, especially a striker likes to leave the game before scoring, this is natural.

“Emenike wants to play and score, he wants to prove himself and give something back to the fans and the manager.”

The Nigerian will however carry over his goal scoring drought to the new year after Fenebarhce's final game of the year was postponed.
