Keshi must work with our terms- Pinnick insists

Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick, insists that Coach Stephen Keshi must be ready to work with the conditions spelt out by the NFF, if he were to keep his job.

The future of Keshi is still in the dark as the Eagles regrouped in Abuja for two international friendlies against Cote d'Ivoire and Sudan in Dubai with assistant coach Daniel Amokachi taking charge.

Keshi, who last coached the team to a disappointing 2-2 draw against South Africa during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Akwa Ibom, which ended the team's hope of defending the trophy it won in South Africa in 2013.

"We have given him conditions and some of those conditions is for him to be ready to work with a technical performance team," disclosed Pinnick.

"It's not easy discarding him and bring someone else even though people say a coach is as good as his last game, but in this case Keshi has performed creditably well."

Pinnick upon assumption of office in October 2014 sacked Keshi even when he had no contract with the NFF.

The change of tune toward Keshi by Pinnick is believed to be a move to woo top government officials who have kept Keshi in charge of the Super Eagles.
