SWANSEA lust after Ighalo, ready £8million bid

SWANSEA are keen on pinching Watford hotshot Odion Ighalo for around £8million accordng to the SUN.

The Nigerian striker, 25, hit 20 goals last season to help fire the Hornets back into the Premier League and Swansea are reportedly preparing to pay £8 million to sign him.

35 games brought a return of 20 goals, including a run of 14 goals in 10 consecutive appearances. He netted vital strikes against Derby and Middlesbrough, and even though his form cooled off towards the end of the campaign, Ighalo still provided an all-round creative presence.

Swansea are looking to provide attacking cover for Bafetimbi Gomis, who has been leading the offensive line by himself since the departure of Wilfried Bony in January.

The former Granada man is currently in Kaduna, preparing for Nigeria's AFCON 2017 qualifier againt Chad.
