OPINION: What should be Enyeama's punishment for Indiscipline?

Some has called for him to be stripped of his captaincy, while others has said he should never be invited to don the green and white jersey, but should Enyeama be punished for saying the obvious?

Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama is at war with the Nigeria Football Federation over his comments about the safety of Kaduna to host last weekend's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad.

Enyeama according to African Football, tore a query issued to him by the NFF in front of the officials who handed it to him.
The NFF are said to be looking into the matter which has been transferred to the NFF disciplinary committee.

Former Nigerian player, Garba Lawal has called for the Lille of France goalkeeper to be sanctioned for his disrespectful actions.
Top NFF officials told me he tore the query he was issued. What Vincent did is unacceptable and he cannot go unpunished for this,” Lawal is reported to say by African Football.

Another ex-international, Emmanuel Babayaro wants the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to strip Vincent Enyeama of his role as captain of the Super Eagles over what he terms as indiscipline.

"The NFF should take the captaincy from him if it's true he tore the query, as a captain he needs to set good precedence for the young ones and that act is unacceptable as a captain," he told News24

The Atlanta 96 Olympic gold medalist cited Chelsea captain, John Terry as a case study.
"No man is bigger than the team not even the captain, England treated John Terry in the same way when he crossed the line, so Enyeama shouldn't be an exception."

Reports also suggests that Enyeama's comments were not well received by the newly elected Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El Rufai, who had to be persuaded by top NFF officials to attend the Chad match after he initially said he would not.

Enyeama has however written an apology letter to the NFF, but the officials insist that he must be punished.
