Enyimba shines in the Continent as Nigerian clubs scale first huddle

It was all smiles for the Nigerian clubs in the continent,  

Andrew Abalogu’s second-half strike on Sunday in Cotonou ensured Enyimba beat Buffles du Borgu home and away in a CAF Champions League preliminary round clash. 

 Substitute Abalogu scored for the two-time African champions after 59 minutes in Cotonou.  A fortnight ago, Enyimba smashed Three goals past the Benin champions in Aba to go through on a 4-0 aggregate.


 Enyimba will now face Egyptian club Smouha in the first round of the Competition later this month.  Enyimba will host Smouha in the first leg.  Smouha defeated Ahli Tripoli of Libya 5-3 on penalties after they won the second leg 1-0, same margin they lost the first leg.

In other results, Kano Pillars beat Malaika 3-0,  (Agg 5-0)
Warri Wolves 3-0 RC Bobo (Agg 4-0)
Dolphins 1-1 (Agg 1-1) 

Dolphins won 5-3 on penalties.
