Victor Moses suffers yet another injury set back

Stoke City Coach Mark Hughes has revealed that his Nigerian forward Victor Moses is doubtful for the weekend’s Premier League clash against his former club, Crystal Palace.

Nigerian duo of Hope Akpan and Danny Shittu are both shortlisted for the PFA's Player in the Community award at next month's Football League awards.
Akpan has been recognised, along with Elliot Omozusi of Leyton Orient for his outstanding contribution to the local area off the pitch.

AYC 2015: Flying Eagles jet to final after crushing Ghana


The Flying Eagles of Nigeria beat Ghana 2-0 on Wednesday at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar, to reach the final of the 19th edition of the African U-20 Championship.

A goal in each half from Obinna Nwobodo and Musa Muhammed ensured Nigeria confirmed their place in the ultimate game of the championship.

South Africa Coach calls Nigeria “arrogant”

Ahead of the clash between the two sides, Bafana Bafana of South Africa head coach Shakes Mashaba has described the Super Eagles of Nigeria as arrogant. The tactician made this declaration while announcing his squad to play Swaziland and Nigeria on Tuesday.

Ideye, Ogu, Ighalo others react to Eagles invitation

Nigerian players took to social Medias to express their delight at being invited to represent their fatherland. This is an upward swing from years back when players were begged to represent the country.

Bolivia/South Africa Friendlies: Enyeama set for 100th cap as Ideye returns

Nigeria skipper Vincent Enyeama is set for a century of caps for the Super Eagles after being named in the 28 man squad for the friendlies against Bolivia and South Africa. The Lille shot-stopper will receive a special recognition by the NFF for this outstanding feat.

Nigeria caretaker coach Daniel Amokachi also recalled West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye for the double cracker.

Ideye was overlooked for last year's FIFA World Cup™ but has rediscovered his form in the English Premier League. The Super Eagles host Bolivia on 26 March in Uyo, southern Nigeria, and three days later travel to South Africa.

Brown Ideye scored his fourth goal of the season to earns West Brom a 1-0 win over Stoke City at the Hawthorns - their fourth successive home win this season.
The 26 year old who has weighed in seven goals in all competition headed home a Craig Gardner's cross in the 19th minute to earn the Baggies their sixth win in their last eight games at the home.


His compatriot Victor Anichebe meanwhile failed to make the match-day 18 after failing to recover from a groin injury while Victor Moses played for 54 minutes as Stoke four game winning streak ended
Nigerian midfielder Sone Aluko was an unused substitute for Hull in their 0-0 draw against Leicester City.

Billy Bazuaye: Ex-Nigeria coach passes on

The Nigeria football family has again been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Nigerian coach, Willy Bazuaye, who passed away Monday at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Benin City.

Bazuaye, who shot into limelight after leading the Nigeria U17 team, the Golden Eaglets, to win the World Cup at their level in China in 1985, was terribly ill in his last days, teamA9F gathered.
