WestBrom Star Berahino backs Ideye to shine

Nigeria international Brown Ideye has received the backing of his West Brom team mate Saido Berahino as he goes through a torrid time in the EPL.

England international Berahino said he believes the club's record signing will soon get over his goal drought.

"I was really surprised that he missed that chance on Saturday, because he puts those types of opportunities away in training,” he said.

“I feel for him because he has found it hard, but you can't knock his effort and his drive to do well for the team.

“He hasn't scored as many as he would have liked this season but he has to keep going. He is a strong character and I am sure that he will start scoring soon.

'That's what happens with strikers. Once one goes in you can't stop scoring.”

New West Brom boss Tony Pulis has also backed Ideye to start scoring soon amid speculations the Nigeria star could be shipped out on loan this month.
