Asisat needs to go back to school -Ogunjobi

Nigeria Football Federation secretary general Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi came out yesterday to give some fatherly advice to falcons hotshot Asisat Oshoala.

While speaking with newsmen in Abuja the renowned sports administrator opined that Asisat should go back and finish her secondary school (high school) education and attain higher educational knowledge in order to secure her future.

Grapevine has it that Asisat had always dreamed of becoming a lawyer before dropping out of high school in a move to pursue her footballing career, a decision that is said to have angered her parents.

“I was shocked the day I heard Asisat Oshoala is a drop-out despite her level of intelligence,” said Ogunjobi.
“Education is important, football is temporary and if you don't leave football, football will leave you one day. I played football to the highest level (Green Eagles) but education was what I fell back on after my active football career.”
“We live in a society where the ability of an individual to be successful depends largely on education. I am using this medium to appeal to Asisat Oshoala to return to school so as to get her future properly secured.”

He however congratulated the African football queen on her recent achievements and awards.
