Wooooh a Nigerian is best striker in Belgium

Nigerian striker, Moses Simon continues to do impressive things at Belgian Jupiler Pro League this season.
He joined KAA Gent from Slovakian TrencĂn on January 7
and has hit the ground running, scoring six
goals in his first seven league matches for the
club.

Simon’s feat means he is the most lethal goal
scorer in the league as regards ratio of goals to
games played.

The number of minutes (521) per involvement
in goals scored by the forward this season (six)
means he has an average of 61.5.
His average means he scored a goal every 87
minutes.

Following at a close second is KVC Westerlo’s
Frederic Gounongbe whose average stands at
77.6 (nine goals in 854 minutes) while
Muscrown Peruwelz’s Abdoulay Diaby’s 12
goals in 1809 minutes saw him rack up an
average of 106.4 which put him in third place
on the list of prolific marksmen.

Moses was tracked by Barclays English Premier
League clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur
months ago and it seems like it’s only a matter
of time before he leaves Belgium and joins one
of Europe’s top hitters.

After netting the winner against Waasland
Beveren at the weekend, he simply said: “my
composure in front of goal is a gift from God,”.
Taking a closer look at the nature of the
different nature of the goals he’s scored this
season, it’s hard to argue.
