Tragedy: Kano Pillars FC vs Highway robbers

Tragedy Struck yesterday when Kano Pillars Football Club was on their way to Owerri for a week one Glo NPFL Fixture against Heartland FC. We gathered that the injured players are currently receiving treatment at the federal medical centre lokoja.

Reports have it that at about 1pm Nigerian time the team's bus was attacked by highway robbers, who immediately opened fire on the bus.

The attack was carried out at the Abaji-Lokoja express, injuring at least 5 of the kano Pillars players.

Among the injured are super eagles invitee Gambo Mohammed, Eneji Otekpa, Ubong
Ekpai, Adamu Murtala, and Reuben Ogbonnaya.

We gather that the injured players are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre Lokoja.
