Ex-Nigeria youth striker Kelechi Osunwa has switched to Islam in Sudan. The Ex-Dolphins Fc star along with two other Nigerians first moved to the East African nation in 2006 joining giants Al-Hilal.
On joining the Sudanese side, he said
"My life has changed for the better playing in Sudan, coming here is the best footballing career I've had to take,"
"My monthly salary and welfare package is something that is highly unthinkable if I had remained in the Nigerian league," he insists.
The player who had stints with El-Merikh of Sudan, Ismaily of Egypt, BEC Tero Sasana of Thailand, is now back in Sudan with Ahly Shandy.
The player who was at one point flogged in Sudan for 'drunk driving' , will now bear the islamic name Othman.
