Super Eagles Star, Ogenyi Onazi was spotted just like any other average or normal Nigerian, reading a national daily on the streets.
The S.S Lazio midfield maestro who is currently on vacation after the football season, rather than travel abroad to extravagant locations, decided to remain and interact with the common Nigerian.
The former youth international was among the fans who watched the Nigeria League match between Lobi Stars and Nasarawa United in Markurdi, wednesday.
At the same time, Ogenyi Onazi, has also apologized to Nigerian fans, for being sent off at Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.
He was shown a straight red, after he shoved a Chadian player when Nigeria was awarded a penalty.
Odion Ighalo stepped up to convert the spot-kick, but the Eagles had to battle on with 10 men.
“That incident(of the red card)is not something I am proud of, ” a remorseful Onazi said.
“I don’t have the reputation of losing my head on the
pitch, it was an unfortunate event. ” He pleaded.
